Items of interest include inventory of estate of Asser Levy, 1683; letters by Rabbi Gershom Seixas concerning employment and conditions at synagogue, 1783-1784; responsa concerning moving of graves, 1791; letter by Aaron Daniels concerning Jews in New Orleans, 1829; scrapbooks on Shearith Israel activities, 1895-1945, and on Seligman affair (financier Joseph Seligman was barred from a Catskills hotel because he was Jewish), 1877; and records of circumcisions, 1866-1878; and marriages, 1906-1918, performed by Rabbi Abraham Nieto.
